In the wake of the London bombings, Congress is preparing to add millions of dollars to strengthen mass transit security in the United States. Recently, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff announced a major reorganization of the Department of Homeland Security. The Briefing will also provide you with the latest information on DHS personnel changes, IT integration, policy integration, changes to the nation's border and immigration system, community preparedness, transportation security, and other priorities.
Also recently, the Department of Defense released a broad strategy for homeland defense and civil support.
