In the wake of the London bombings, Congress is preparing to add millions of dollars to strengthen mass transit security in the United States. Recently, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff announced a major reorganization of the Department of Homeland Security. Also recently, the Department of Defense released a broad strategy for homeland defense and civil support.
